August 10, 2024, it\'s 11 p.m. and I\'m screaming in rage in front of my TV. Stephen Curry just killed my France national team in the 2024 Paris Olympics Finals by scoring another iconic three-pointer. I just had the Night-Night experience, The Chef just ended my party.

When I received the new pair, that\\\\\\\'s exactly the moment that popped into my head. Because as painful as that memory is, it\'s also magnificent. It\'s for those legendary moments that we love this sport. This work is my metaphorical interpretation of the Night-Night experience I had watching the Olympic final. An experience shared by many over the years.

This pair is a signal to opponents and the public : have fun while you can, Steph will sooner or later bring down the night. I use the metaphor of nightfall to communicate about Stephen Curry\'s iconic Night Night celebration while highlighting his decisive impact on games. I wanted to give it a kind of mystical aura by using deep blues, purples and vibrant yellows. The fade from light to dark from bottom to top creates a visual effect of lightness, giving the impression of levitation. Four words guided my work here: aesthetic, vibrant, aura, and storytelling.

The vertical gradient represents the twilight sky. Night is falling. The golden details are reminiscent of the trophies won by Steph over his career (NBA titles, Olympics, World Championship, MVPs...). The clouds represent the misty San Francisco Bay. The moon on the tongue embodies the night, covered with a gold Curry Brand logo. The paint splatters recall the artistic origins of my work while complementing the aesthetics of the night sky (stars). The cosmic patterns extend the evocation of the night sky. The pair is a mismatch between San Francisco (blue) and Paris (purple) based on photos of the twilight sky above the two cities, linking Stephen Curry\'s NBA franchise and his victory in Paris 2024 while also referencing my country, France. The bright yellow starting at the bottom of the pair represents the light from the street lamps in each respective city. Each visual element is linked to the others. I painted this pair very delicately to preserve the texture of the suede. This texture allows the shoe to retain its comfortable look and offers more contrast than a flattened surface with too much paintI used different techniques to achieve this result: dyes, airbrush, brushes, and stencils.
