The Story
David “DEZ” Zambrano was born in 1976 in Los Angeles, California, and raised in Northern Virginia near Washington, DC. His passion for art began after watching Beat Street and seeing graffiti along the Red Line while visiting his father. A self-taught artist, DEZ draws from life experiences, with graffiti deeply influencing his style. Known for his versatility, he works across mixed media—canvas, walls, cars, motorcycles, and fabric. His custom footwear gained wide recognition, but his true love remains the canvas. DEZ believes every piece reflects his passion, pain, and life, created not for trends but from the soul.
