Bringing together my favorite artist, my favorite color, and one of my favorite flowers.
I decided to give new life to my personal pair of yellow Vans, and what better choice than Van Gogh’s Sunflowers, with all their rich yellow tonalities? The result is a full painting brought to life across the shoe’s canvas, with each section revealing a fragment of the artwork. It was my first time painting on suede, which felt quite different due to its textured surface - it’s not as smooth as leather. So it was definitely a challenge, but fortunately Van Gogh’s style allowed for a more expressive and less precise approach.
