My strength is in portraits but due to the terms of the competition (no copyrights/trademarks/intellectual property), I had to step out of my comfort zone.
It was challenging but I really enjoyed the experience. My concept is "United Through Art." This awesome contest has brought together 100 amazing artists from around the world, and my concept depicts just that. By fading skin colors from light to dark, I tried to represent everyone. We all go through different things in life no matter our skin tone, but us artists bleed colors. I included a five-color gradient with airbrush technique to represent the shades of skin colors throughout the shoe. In addition, I used Posca colors to add the drip, representing a colorful bleeding cut. I also added a side of the globe on each shoe tongue.
