Product Details
For this project, I drew inspiration from the \'90s, particularly with the use of bright and bold colors. The easily readable graffiti references streetball and hip-hop from that era.
I simply imagined the shoes I would have loved to wear when I was a teenager playing basketball. And still do today.
The effect I wanted to create with my shoes was to take you back to the 90s, like a flashback. The message is linked to nostalgia for the best years. It's simple: «Be cool is the message! »
The texture created by mixing spray paint and suede fabric is perfect for recreating an authentic graffiti effect on a wall.
These colors also evoke sunny California, where Stephen Curry is from. He also grew up in the '90s, and I think he'll relate to it.
My design is unisex. I also believe this kind of bright colors are trendy at the moment in the world of basketball.
It's more of a concept/prototype. I followed my inspiration and managed to bring my vision to life while staying true to my style.
For this project I used spray paint and Posca markers.
