The inspiration behind my design comes directly from Steph Curry’s iconic “Night Night” celebration. Anyone who’s a true sports fan and has had the privilege of witnessing prime Steph knows exactly what that moment feels like. He’s not just the greatest shooter of all time, he’s a performer who can electrify an entire city, even when he comes to Houston. When Steph hits those clutch shots and puts a game to bed, I imagine the whole Bay Area sleeping peacefully afterward, floating on the high of another unforgettable performance. Sweet dreams, Bay Area. Night Night.
That same feeling of satisfaction is something I connect with deeply in my own craft. When I’m working on a custom project, I pour everything into it. The creativity, focus, passion and when I finally finish a pair, there’s this moment of calm. A moment where I step back, breathe, and shift back into my favorite role: father. As a father of 8, my house stays full of noise, personality, and beautiful chaos. But I love every second of it. Being a dad is one of the greatest blessings in my life. And every night, no matter how wild the day gets, I tuck my kids in, tell them I love them, and end with the same phrase: “Sweet dreams. Night night.”
Steph inspires me not just as an athlete but as a father. Watching how he carries himself with his family is real motivation. That’s why fatherhood became the heartbeat of this design. I brought in a galaxy theme to represent the kids, the shining stars in my universe. They are the reason I grind, the reason I create, the reason I stay inspired.
I added the words “Night. Night.” behind the tongue as a nod to Steph’s celebration, but also as a connection to my own nightly routine with my children. I designed custom insoles featuring Steph doing the celebration, his kids’ names, and the quote “It’s time to put the kids to sleep,” echoing the iconic moment from the Olympic game. It ties everything together: greatness, fatherhood, legacy, and love.
This design is more than just art. It’s a tribute to Steph’s impact on the court, his role off the court, and the ways both mirror my own journey. It’s about the peace that comes after the grind, the family waiting at the end of the day, and the sweet dreams that follow. Night Night.
