What inspired my design was my passion for being creative. Art has always been a form of self-expression for me—a way to turn emotions into something beautiful and meaningful. The theme of the competition, Art of the Game, inspired me to combine two things that have always motivated me: creativity and perseverance. On the tongue of the sneaker, I added basketball and paintbrush charms to represent the balance between art and athleticism—two worlds that both take hard work, focus, and dedication. This sneaker represents the power of creativity to transform challenges into art.

I chose bright, bold colors because I’m a very colorful person who believes that life should shine as brightly as your dreams. My motto has always been, “It ain’t clean if it don’t bling.” I love sparkle and statement pieces, and I wanted that to come through in my design. The colors, shine, and details all reflect who I am—someone who embraces positivity, light, and individuality. Every element was chosen to make people feel good when they look at it, because I believe art should inspire joy and confidence.

My journey as a designer started during the COVID pandemic. I had just given birth to my fifth child and was struggling with postpartum depression. Life felt heavy, and I needed a healthy outlet to manage my emotions. That’s when I started creating. Art became a form of therapy—a way to clear my mind and bring peace to my spirit. What began as a small hobby to relieve stress quickly grew into a true passion and purpose. Designing helped me rediscover myself and taught me that creativity has no limits. My Babies name is Treasure. The name of my business is \"Treasure\'s Bead\'s N Jewels\"

This sneaker is more than just a design—it’s a reflection of growth, resilience, and self-expression. Every detail tells a story of transformation: from pain to peace, from struggle to strength, from stress to creativity. It represents finding your light even in dark times and learning to turn challenges into something that shines. The Art of the Game sneaker isn’t just about fashion—it’s about the beauty of perseverance, the power of art, and the courage to keep creating no matter what life throws your way.

A HISTORIC COLLABORATION

Created in partnership with Rakuten, brought together thousands of custom sneaker artists from across the US and Europe. With Rakuten’s support, the competition became one of the largest creator-driven sneaker showcases ever produced, giving emerging artists a platform on a global stage. From thousands of entries, just 100 creators were shortlisted by a world-class judging panel featuring leaders across sport, design, music, and sneaker culture. These Top 100 designs formed the Art of the Game Official Collection - a rare, curated snapshot of sneaker culture at its most innovative. The journey concluded in San Francisco, where the finalists were flown out for a filmed finale with the Judges. This finale marked a milestone moment: a celebration of creators, culture, and the evolution of custom sneakers as a legitimate art form. Now, for the first time ever, you can own a piece of this history. Each Top 100 sneaker - whether the original pair or a made-to-order version in your size - represents a creator who rose above thousands to earn their place in this landmark Rakuten x Stephen Curry series. This isn’t just a sneaker. It’s a piece of the Art of the Game legacy - and a chapter in the future of sneaker culture.
