The Story
I’m Joe Allan, aka @_joeallan and @thecactusgentleman, a designer who reimagines sneakers using cactus leather, denim, and recycled fabrics. My work blends craftsmanship, culture, and sustainability, telling stories through texture and construction. Starting in jewelry, I learned precision and patience, skills I now apply to handmade sneakers using donor soles like the Jordan 1, Dunk SB, and New Balance 2002r. Each pair fuses materials with history and meaning. Through The Cactus Gentleman, I create sustainable, soulful sneakers, fully hands-on, reflecting creativity, resourcefulness, and storytelling in every design.
