The Story
Howdy! I’m Karl from Starline Customs. I specialise in painting portraits that blend abstract art with realism. I’ve loved drawing since I could hold a pen – starting from doodles in detention to painting shoes for Elton John, Ed Sheeran, and Manchester United players. As a teen inspired by Banksy, my creativity sometimes got me into trouble. In college, a teacher named Gary gave me advice that stuck: “Life’s like driving a car – you need to look ahead or you’ll crash.” After failing college and working as a roofer, I realised how much I missed art. I began sharing drawings online, which led to commissions and the birth of my small art business. When I posted a pair of doodled shoes, my first custom commission followed, sparking the journey that became Starline Customs – because it truly felt like the stars had aligned.
